Westlow Mere Trip

Westlow Mere was yet again a challenge and a frustrating one! Fish were rising intermittently through out the day and seemed to be taking small white flies hatching off the lake. Bob was the first to contact a fish and went on to catch two nice rainbows of good size for his supper. Fish taken on a "worm fly",  and a "Scotch Bob", (One of Bobs own concoctions). I managed to get some good action with small buzzers at times fished washing line style and eventually managed to winkle one out by the tail!

Good flat bottom boats are available including this wheelie boat  for a very reasonable  rate.

Having serious thoughts about lowering the boat front to scoop the fish in at this point!
