Upcoming Events at the club

In addition to the demonstration by Pat Stevens for this years fly tying competition on 6th September.

On 4th October  we have our AGM, which we would like to see as many members as possible attend. Remember it is your club and this is a golden opportunity to help the committee steer it in the direction you would like to see it go.
Later that evening we will have Dave Riding giving us an insight into some of the history of the flies used in our sport.

On 15 November  Steve Cooper of Cookshill will talk to us about fly tying materials with the emphasis on feathers.  This includes a demonstration on preparing partridge skins and he will also be bringing along his "shop", which is an opportunity to top up stocks not to be missed.

On 6th December John Tyzak will demonstrate tying spider patterns and talk to us about techniques for fishing them.

There will be further announcements in due course as we line up other demonstrators, but for the moment , last but by no means least.

On 17th January  Stuart Crofts will be be with us tying some of the imitative patterns that he uses with great effect on our rivers.
Stuart's knowledge of the entomology of our river insect life is truly legendary and there is no one like him for explaining it in terms we can all understand.

On 21st February,  Jeremy Lucas will be tying with us. Content of demonstration yet to be confirmed. Jeremy's river tactics and innovative patterns have helped bring success for many, from beginners to international fly fishing teams

Please feel free to pass on details of these meetings to your fly fishing friends.
