Foxhouses three fly comp 3rd June

If the Queen can do it, so can we! Not fishing of course unless your using a shot gun. No, standing in the wind driven rain for hours. The Foxhouses three fly comp despite the bad weather as usual managed to to produce some great fishing with most of the competitors taking fish throughout the day. We had a good turn out and with some new faces which was great to see. Thank you to everyone who attended for making the effort and coming out and fishing on what was essentially a great fly tying day.

A damp a dreary Foxhouses wasn't going to dampen the spirits of those taking part.

The fish were often in secluded bays like this one and they were taking terrestrials off the top at times.

A beautiful fin perfect fish, just like all the stock at Foxhouses.

Red Fox did the business.

Damsel nymph was taken on the drop.

Bibio Hopper took fish off the top with plenty of Gink to keep it afloat.

Another fin perfect Rainbow

Mike's post comp BBQ really hit the spot and made the day.

The fishy stories start.........

By now the fish are up to 4lb +!

Thanks to Pat and the Foxhouses staff and Mike for all his hard work providing the BBQ. Very much appreciated guys.
