A trip to the Welsh Dee near Llangollen was the plan and Despite the bad weather predictions half a dozen of us mad souls decided to carry on regardless. We were treated to a glorious day with hardly and rain or snow and very fishable water conditions with some good results. The fish were still deep despite the relatively warm temperatures and the odd hatches of olives and stone flies. Czech nymphing seemed to be the best technique on the day. Fly choice was not that important with takes on flies including dull grey hairs ears to gaudy pink monsters were equal success. All in all, a day that was well worth the effort and very productive for so early in the season.
