Foxhouses three fly competition

The annual three fly comp at Foxhouses is always a highlight in the BFT trip calendar, and this year was no exception. We were blessed with fantastic weather that encouraged rises to emerging insects virtually all day long.  The desired effect of this were multiple catches of the superbly conditioned, well sized, fighting fit fish that are guaranteed to put a good bend in the rod and provide fantastic sport.

An added bonus this year was the attendance of instructor, Tony Riley, who was on hand to provide advice about best fishing techniques and a great session about casting both single handed and double handed rods.

The winner to take the most on their own three flies was yet again Mr Bob Johnstone. Bob tells us his most successful fly was a blood red blob. Well done Bob!

Class begins over lunch.

Not sure thats how you are supposed to hold the rod Tony & Tony?
