Knottalow Tarn Trip

BFT trip calendar took us to Knottalow Tarn for the first time as a club event. Out of the eight who attended, most caught at least one of the naturalized hard fighting brownies, weights averaging from 1.5 to 3lb that this picturesque water has to offer. I must admit that the venue was not the easiest place to get to, you take the back streets and the high road at the back of Ulverston and you might just get there! The out of the way location is probably beneficial to keep the number of anglers at a manageable level. One word of caution in buying tickets to note is that the 'Rods N Sods' shop is no longer open to purchase day tickets so buying an e-ticket on line via the Ulverston anglers site probably the best way to go. Some snaps of the place, you will notice there are none of the fish as the photographer failed to catch!

Beautiful view and lots of space for everybody to fish

Team talk, tactics....and lunch
View from the road
'The Causeway',can be a good fish taking location.

'The Lilly pads' Plenty of brownies lurking underneath!
